Well, I missed the mark a bit (I actually hit 750 YT subscribers a few days ago), but I don't care - I'm in the mood to give something away :)

Vintage Western (Chuck Wagon) Mini Album...it's here!!!

After a long couple of months, my vintage western-themed mini album is complete...here's the reveal, and I'm so thrilled with how this one turned out!!!

Ready for it?  ...it's a mini chuck wagon!  I built the base of the album using medium and light weight chipboard, wooden dowelling, wood grain patterned paper, a little bit of grungepaper, a few brads and jump rings, a couple of Tim Holtz's small configurations boxes, and a whole lot of patience and creativity :)  Features of the base include horse harnesses, a small bench in the front, and a functional cargo box in the back.  The rails on the side help to hold the canopy in place.  Check it out:

So...where's the album?  Inside, of course!  The covers of the mini album form the canopy of the chuck wagon.  Removing the album is simple...all you have to do is lift the canopy.  Check out some of the pages from inside the album:

Here's the best part...due to the popularity of my Vintage Camera Mini Album, I knew this one was going to be a hit...especially because of the lack of western-themed albums out there.  Soooo...I have a pattern available right now for this album!  That's partially why it took me so long to get this album done, but you're all worth it ;)

The pattern is a whopping 96 pages long!  I make my patterns easy to follow with loads of pictures so that you can start building immediately...there is no need for a video tutorial.  The pattern includes instructions for the chuck wagon base, the canopy mini album, and eight different templates for pockets, frames, and picture mats - one for each page of the album.  I also tell you exactly what products work best in each step.

Pink Mini...Almost Finished?!?!

For those of you who know me, you know that I am an incredibly sloooooow scrapbooker.  For those who don't...you're gonna have to take my word for it!  I like all my i's dotted and t's crossed - a bit of a perfectionist.  Well, I was on a role this weekend because I've almost finished my pink mini!  Yup - that's right!  I can't believe it myself ;)

I created my mini using No. 6 coin envelopes (3-3/8" x 6").  It has a total of six pages; however, two of them are made using canvas envelopes.  The canvas pages were not my original idea, but I love them!  Check out faythchik777's YouTube videos for instructions on how to make them:

All I have left to complete are the tags, so in my true scattered brain fashion, I'm moving back onto my vintage western mini to get that sucker done and posted for all to enjoy :)  I think the pink mini was all I needed to rejuvenate me :)

Pink Mini Fundraiser

So...I've put my vintage western themed album on the shelf...just for a week or two so that I can work on another project that I think is very important...and I invite everyone out there to join me.

Laura Denison from "Following the Paper Trail" is holding another fundraiser for breast cancer this month.  Anyone can create a mini album to include in a silent auction that will be held near the end of October.  All proceeds will be donated to the Susan G. Komen for a Cure Foundation.

Vintage Camera Mini Album Pattern Correction

Well, it's official...I am NOT perfect!  ...don't worry, I already knew that :)

Vintage Western Mini Album Update

I had all the best intentions to get my vintage western mini album posted by the end of this month.  Well, things around here have been hectic to say the least, and it would take a miracle for me to have this album completed by the end of September.

I absolutely hate not keeping my commitments, so at the very least, I want to share a sneak peak of my creation:

I know, I know...these pictures are soooooooo close up!  I need to keep a little mystery so I don't ruin the whole surprise ;)

Coming Soon...Vintage Western Mini Album!!!

So I had a request for a "vintage western" themed album a while back.  The request suggested possibly making the album in the shape of a boot...well, the gears have been well-greased because I absolutely LOVE what I've come up with.  It's not a boot, but if you like my vintage camera mini album, this one is sure to please, as well.

Not only does this project offer a unique way to display your album, it is also packed with several custom tags, pockets, and picture mats and frames.  Sorry, I don't want to ruin the surprise, so won't give any more details for now, but I will tell you that I am writing a pattern that will be available immediately after I have released this album :)

Due to a busy summer, I won't be sharing this album as soon as I would like, but do plan to have it complete by the end of September (but hopefully sooner).  I hope you stay tuned :)
